When your web projects grow the cloud offers you extremely flexible possibilities for expansion which you can book exactly as required. These possibilities include load balancing to increase redundancy and spread the load more efficiently across the various containers, and a content delivery network (CDN) which helps deliver your data quickly across the globe. For saving your data on failsafe network storage, the module Storage is available.
Loadbalancer
With load balancing you can achieve the optimal load distribution across your cloud containers and can therefore react to increased traffic. When the power of a single server is no longer enough you can arrange, for example, an additional database server or an additional web server with a mirror of your website, this ensures better performance and higher availability since your services will still be available even when a server or container is not reachable.
Content Delivery Network (CDN)
A Content Delivery Network (CDN) serves to provide fast, worldwide delivery of content such as large media files. CDN-nodes are spread across many, often thousands of sites worldwide. In this way users who are near to these sites are served as quickly and directly as possible. To this end copies of chosen files (Software, Documents, Applications, Media streams, ...) are stored at all nodes. The serverloft cloud uses the CDN from Level 3 Communications. This combines the advantages of one of the leading internet backbones with an advanced and proven content delivery platform.
Storage
The Storage module is based on a shared failsafe and highly efficient network storage. Due to multiple redundancies your data is perfectly protected and always available. As the Storage can be configured down to the last detail, it is suitable for all customer requirements. For example, time schedules for snapshot creation can be setup, which further enhances data safety and makes it possible to access older file versions at any time.
